Listen to Snehal on the Divorce Literacy Podcast with Jody Bruns

Snehal is the principal of SPM Law, LLC. where she practices all aspects of family law. Snehal launched her firm with the goal of helping families through difficult transitions—efficiently with compassion.

While clerking for the Honorable Ronald A. Silkworth (Ret.) at the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland, Snehal observed intimately the ways in which attorneys can help – or hinder – a client’s case. She left her clerkship knowing that being a client-centered advocate was how she would practice. Snehal ensures she always has at least one pro-bono and/or low-bono case in her caseload because she believes everyone should have effective legal representation and it’s her duty to provide her time and expertise to those who cannot afford representation.

Prior to launching her own firm, she worked as an associate at two prominent family law firms in the Baltimore area. She also argued a case in the Court of Special Appeals in 2019, which resulted in a published opinion by the intermediate appellate court. She is trained to practice Collaborative Law as well as serve as Child’s Counsel.

Snehal’s advocacy does not end with an attorney-client relationship. She also extends her time and efforts to her community and serves as a leader with several professional organizations. She chairs the Racial Justice Committee of the South Asian Bar Association, DC (SABA-DC), chairs the Diversity and Inclusion of the Baltimore County Bar Association (BCBA), and also co-chairs the Family Law Committee of Maryland Association of Justice (MAJ). She is an active member of several other bar organizations throughout Maryland. Snehal also serves on the board of Christalis, Inc., a non-profit organization that develops and maintains programs to aid underserved children and families in various parts of the world.
